The two cities that have emerged as the joint winners for the cleanest cities in India recently for 2023 are Indore & Surat. Indore maintained its first position for the seventh time, while Surat emerged as the joint winner for the first time.
Navi Mumbai securing the third spot in the list, maintained its previous rank. In 2022 as well, Navi Mumbai ranked at third position in the list of cleanest cities with more than one lakh population.
The city that has been ranked at the fourth spot in the list of cleanest cities of India latest list of 2023 is Visakhapatnam, maintaining its previous rank in 2022.
The fifth spot in the list of cleanest cities in India, has been taken by city Bhopal, upper rank as compared to its previous rank which was sixth position in 2022.
The sixth spot has been taken by the city Vijayawada. While comparing to its previous rank, it was at fifth position in 2022, a slight decrease from its previous position.
The seventh spot in the list of cleanest cities in India is NDMC, New Delhi Municipal Committee. A three rank increase in 2023 as compared to its previous spot in 2022, which was at ninth position.
The eight rank has been taken by the city Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. A slight decrease in its position as compared to its previous year's one in 2022, which was seventh position.
