1. 72 Street: Making Stock Research Easier For Retail Investors

For first-time investors, understanding the stock market can be difficult. Financial reports, technical indicators and market sentiment often require considerable time and expertise to interpret.

72 Street

Mumbai-based 72 Street is attempting to simplify this process through an investment research platform designed particularly for younger and inexperienced investors. Founded in 2025 by Rohit Agarwal and Fal Ghancha, the startup has raised ₹4 crore from angel investors and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

Its platform combines stock screening, market data, watchlists and investment tools. It also offers Venty, an AI researcher that analyses more than 3,800 stocks listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The system examines fundamental, technical and sentiment indicators to generate insights. These are reviewed by SEBI-registered research analysts before being presented to users.

The idea is to make market research more accessible without removing human oversight from the process.

2. Cruise Money: An AI Assistant For Personal Finances

Managing money involves more than tracking bank balances. People must decide how much to save, where to invest and whether their spending habits align with long-term goals.

Cruise Money

Cruise Money, founded in 2025 by Vinay Bharathwaj, Ganesh KV and Vikrant Mudaliar, is developing an AI-powered platform to help users make these decisions.

The app brings together financial information, including mutual fund holdings and cash flows, and uses AI agents to analyse spending patterns and provide personalised guidance. It operates through India’s Account Aggregator framework, which allows users to share financial data with authorised entities, and follows the SEBI-registered Investment Adviser framework for investment advice.

Cruise Money also plans to introduce an agentic card around Diwali 2026. The proposed feature would let users describe a purchase or financial goal and receive suggestions based on their financial profile.

For example, someone planning to buy a smartphone could receive guidance on whether an EMI fits their spending capacity. Whether such tools can consistently improve financial decisions will depend on the quality of their recommendations and how users act on them.

3. Drona Pay: Detecting Financial Fraud Before It Escalates

As digital financial transactions expand, banks and fintech companies face the challenge of identifying suspicious activity without unnecessarily blocking legitimate customers.

Drona Pay

Founded in 2021 by Satish Kashyap, Pallavi Narvekar and Sukhdev Sinh Zala, Drona Pay develops risk management and compliance software for banks, payment processors, insurers and fintech companies.

Its technology analyses transactions and behavioural signals, including device information, IP addresses, location and typing patterns, to identify potential threats. These may include account takeovers, fraudulent merchant activity, money laundering and suspicious lending behaviour.

The company also offers transaction monitoring, anti-money laundering tools, case management and early-warning systems.

For financial institutions, the value lies in identifying risks quickly while reducing the workload associated with investigating suspicious transactions. However, the effectiveness of these systems depends on their ability to distinguish genuine threats from legitimate activity.

4. LendingIQ: Bringing AI Agents Into Loan Processing

Loan applications often involve document collection, verification, eligibility checks, and assessments against lender policies. Manual processes can slow down approvals and increase operational costs.

LendingIQ

LendingIQ, founded in 2025 by Ashish Kaushik, Ankit Singh and Sai Koundinya, is building AI agents to automate parts of these workflows for banks, fintech companies and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs).

Its technology supports loan origination, underwriting, collections and servicing. The platform connects with existing systems, tests AI agents on sample data and monitors their performance after deployment.

LendingIQ serves multiple lending categories, including retail and small-business loans, home loans, gold loans, auto finance and commercial lending. The company works with clients across India, the US, Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

The opportunity is significant, but lenders will need to ensure that automated decisions remain accurate, explainable and compliant with applicable regulations.

5. WeCredit: Helping Borrowers Compare Loan Options

Finding a suitable loan can be time-consuming, particularly when borrowers must compare multiple lenders, interest rates and eligibility requirements.

WeCredit

Founded in 2022 by Mukul Devpura, Brijesh Chokhra, Laksh Dua, Sumit Chokhra and Piyush Beli, WeCredit operates a digital marketplace connecting borrowers with multiple lending partners.

Its platform lists personal, business, car, home and gold loans. It also provides EMI calculators, personal loan calculators and credit-score checks powered by Equifax.

WeCredit has more than 5 lakh users and has facilitated over ₹2,500 crore in loan disbursals since its launch. The company lists more than 25 lending partners, including Moneyview, KreditBee, L&T Finance and Olyv.

By allowing users to compare options in one place, the platform aims to simplify loan discovery. However, final interest rates, eligibility and approvals remain subject to individual lenders’ assessments.
